Almost...

I'm heading up to Lake Tahoe for some last-minute altitude training today and tomorrow before I go to Seattle to climb Mt Rainier on Friday morning. Here are some pics (some mine, some web) of Mt Tallac, Glacier National Park (from last week) and Mt Rainier.

View of the whole Tahoe basin from the summit of Mt Tallac (9735') This will be my last training hike of the season. Ahhh...

Eastern Glacier NP near Two Medicine Lake. 8000' and 70+ MPH hurricane-force winds. A little extra adventure!

Steph approaching Triple Divide Peak @ Triple Divide pass. Awesome 14.4 mile, 2400' vertical hike.

Mountain Goats on the trail.

And now, here are some great web shots of Mt Rainier. I'll be happy to post my own next week. Did I mention that it's supposed to snow on our summit day?

Lenticular clouds over the peak.

Camp Muir @ 10,000'. Looks a bit ghetto, but those are some high class accommodations!

Close up of the peak.

Mt Rainier from Puget Sound.

More incredible Lenticular clouds.
